At long last we have the information for the Kids & Parents trip to Costa Rica. And perfect timing as you can give this as a wonderful Holiday present! The trip is designed for Children 7 and up with plenty of time to spend time with the group and other families as well as with your own! (If you'd like children younger than 7 please let me know and we can discuss a change in some activities for you.) I have allotted time for you to add activities, and can help with scheduling them if you'd like to add anything else. I have given you a list of everything INCLUDED in the price. Includes activities, guide, accommodations for 7 Nights - Hotels are all very nice and clean 3-4 Stars with a pool, and transportation and the meals listed below.

These days coincide with our Spring Break, hope they work well for you and your kids!

PRICE INCLUDES EVERYTHING LISTED IN ITINERARY:

April 2 Saturday - Flights (Flights not included) from Your City to San Jose, Costa Rica/ Spend the Night in San Jose

Arrive early enough and you can walk around and tour San Jose
Group will meet for Dinner

April 3 Sunday – San Jose - Balsa River Half Day Rafting - Travel to Arenal

We will leave San Jose early and head off to our first activity. Your white water rafting will be spent up to 2 exhilarating hours of white water action with your guide passing scenic forests and the lush costa rican landscapes. Once at the San Carlos bridge we will enjoy a swim and some fruits and snacks. Rafting over Age 7. After lunch and our exciting rafting trip we will travel to our next destination Arenal.

April 4 Monday Arenal – Arenal 4 in 1 Tour

Your day will begin with a Safari Float on the Penas Blancas River, looking out for tropical birds, monkeys, sloths, crocodiles and iguanas.

Next you will embark on a walking tour to one of the country's finest waterfalls, where you can enjoy a refreshing swim from the best vantage point available; beneath the falls. The visit to the 70 meter tall, cascading La Fortuna Waterfall is followed by a delicious typical lunch in the volcano's hub town of La Fortuna.

Volcano Tour - The tour will continue from there to the Arenal National Park, home of the world's second most active volcano. Here you will have unrivaled views of the conical volcano as well as informative guided tours through the dense rainforest to view the natural beauty and abundance of wildlife that roams free.

The final chapter of your Arenal experience includes a relaxing evening trip to a Hot Springs spa.

April 5 Tuesday - Travel from Arenal to Monteverde by boat/ Enjoy the rest of the free day in Monteverde

April 6 Wednesday Monteverde - Canopy Tour- Suspension Bridges-Butterfly Garden

The Canopy Tour/ Zipline - Selvatura's outstanding canopy tour has the longest cables in Costa Rica and is the only one truly immersed in virgin forest. The tour is made up of 15 cables and 18 viewing platforms, traversing over two miles of forest and combining the thrill of the zip line with a unique perspective of the tree top canopy. After an initial introduction to the safety equipment, visitors are fitted with the highest quality harnesses by professional guides. Soon after, riders will begin their flight through the forest. The tour lasts between 2.5 and 3 hours. It is suitable for anyone over the age of 4, but for safety reasons, a weight restriction of 280lbs

Treetop Suspension Bridges - The Tree Top walkway is the ideal cloud forest experience for those who wish to explore the beauty of the canopy at their own pace and appreciate the incredible array of vegetation and exotic bird life that the region has to offer. The walkway consists of 8 suspension bridges connected by trails covering 1.9 miles. The bridge system is the widest and sturdiest in Costa Rica. Visitors will learn about the mammals, birds and plant life - particularly bromeliads, epiphytes and ferns – living in this unique eco-system, as well as hearing some of the fascinating cultural history of the region.

Butterfly Garden - Selvatura's stunning butterfly garden is one of the largest on the continent. At 300ft long and 90ft wide, with a huge 50ft dome ceiling, the giant garden is host to 50 species of butterflies. Accurate and sensitive temperature controlling enables the survival of species from a range of altitudes and climate conditions throughout Costa Rica. Take a guided tour through this fascinating live exhibit and learn about the life cycle, special behaviors and evolution of these unique creatures.

April 7 Thursday - Travel from Monteverde to Jaco Beach - The rest of the day is Free to enjoy the day at the Beach

April 8 Friday – Jaco - Catamaran Cruise - Sightseeing, Snorkeling, Sunbathing, Exploring, swimming, eating, drinking, and relaxing.

Whether you're 2 or 92 no visit to Costa Rica is complete without a trip to the world famous Tortuga Island Cruise. Upon arrival in Puntarenas you will board a super catamaran. The catamaran has fresh water showers and full bar featuring delicious Piña Coladas made with fresh pineapple. The spacious main salon combines with an expansive deck area which includes 2 deck pools, offering a level of cruising luxury and comfort. Once underway the catamaran makes her way to the Gulf of Nicoya.

Her white clad crew pampers guests with fresh tropical fruits and drinks. In the morning the catamaran will pass thru the islands of San Lucas, Gypsy, Sugar Loaf, Guayabo; Jesusita, Cedros and Negritos with Tortuga Island as the destination.

Particularly enchanting for it's beauty, Tortuga Island is known for its immaculate white sand beach and turquoise waters, a perfect stop for swimming, snorkeling and Calypso's famous lunch. For passenger safety and convenience Manta Raya has a bow ramp which allows her passengers to disembark directly onto the beach.

Sip cold wine in the shade of white umbrellas at tables covered with white linen and be served the midday feast. A sumptuous delight, featured in Gourmet Magazine, starts with a ceviche appetizer and followed by a medley of salads. The main dish is a delightful bar-b-qued breast of chicken covered in a mouthwatering tropical sauce accompanied with julienned vegetables all cooked fresh on the grill.

April 9 Saturday – Flights back from San Jose to Your City
