We will be staying on the mountain which gives great dining options and lots of activities.
Offering the most natural snowfall, skiable terrain and largest vertical drop in the region, Snowshoe Mountain is the closest thing to a Rocky Mountain-sized ski resort to be found in the southeastern/mid-Atlantic states. And just like those fancy places out west, Snowshoe also has slopes on more than one mountain.
If the idea of outdoor recreation in West Virginia brings to mind Deliverance-style canoe trips instead of skiing, you haven’t heard of Snowshoe Mountain. Snowshoe, which is located in the in the Monongahela National Forest, has the most vertical in the state and the only half pipe. The ski area also has night skiing, access to two peaks, and an average snowfall of 180 inches. Snowshoe offers 60 runs and 14 lifts.

ADD SNOWMOBILE TOUR A. $70 or B. $110 (Depending on the tour)
A. $70 One hour evening tours in the Snowshoe Basin: Our 1 hr tours in the Snowshoe Basin are perfect for those who have never driven a snowmobile before or who want to experience the thrill of riding a snowmobile at night. Our most popular tour, the basin tour will give you a whole new perspective of the ski slopes at Snowshoe. Children between the ages of 6 and 15 are permitted to ride as passengers with an adult provided that they are at least 46" tall (children under this height are not able to reach the passenger handle bars). Adults are not permitted to ride as passengers during this tour as the terrain contains inclines, declines, and side slopes of such magnitude that the weight of two average sized adults raises the center of gravity of the machine to a point that makes roll-overs likely. When riding instructions are followed, this is not an issue with an average size adult and child.
OR
B. $110 Daytime Backcountry Adventure Tours: This backcountry tour is for experienced riders looking for smaller group sizes, more speed, and more mileage. No passengers are permitted on the Backcountry Adventure Tour due to the higher speeds and more technical terrain. The Backcountry Adventure Tour will take 1:45 to 2:00 hours total time including a 5 minute shuttle to and from the starting point. Daytime Tours are dependent on natural snowfall.
Refunds are not offered for this Meetup.
